One week later Daisy is still in a bad way, she has relentless diarrhea. Almost a month of purging in this manner, we worry about her organs. So, it's back to the vet.

Blood work, new food, more antibiotics, and prednisone. Poor thing. In a pleasant twist, with all of these medications and the new easy-on-the-stomach gastrointestinal food, Daisy doesn't fart. Now, that doesn't mean she doesn't 'think' she farts. When I make a 'poof' sound, she scrambles to her feet and waits to whiff her nonexistent waft. She cracks me up!

Update:

Hubby (D-man) has steadfastly monitored Daisy's droppings, and today, one week after starting her multi-pill regimen, she is delivering the goods more substantially.  The poop-project is still underway because although it's not pudding-like, it is not a log. Thank the Lord, Daisy's doodles are pickupable with the poop scooper.

The vet believes Daisy ate something foul---probably not river water---but something bad. More to follow...

Update:

Here we are six months down the road. We are continuing the food regimen--Hills Derm complete--and wow! She looks great. Her coat has never been this lovely. the Vet recommended that we add fiber to her food and so she poops frequently. Interestingly, she eats half of what she ate of her Royal Canine Bully food and has maintained her weight. I don't know what they put in that very expensive Hills food, but it works.
